I think it's safe to say that each one of us here have a makeup stash that'll barely fit into one normal-sized makeup bag. It's sad to say that not all products were created equal - some are just more favourable than others, but that doesn't mean it's easy to pick which child gets the most love. So when Tasha tagged me to do 'the one and only tag', it was the moral struggle to pick the favourite child when they're all your babies. But I suppose it'll be nice to refer back to this post if somehow, someone steals all my makeup. I mean, we all know that's where the majority of my money goes anyway. 

Primer: No one says it had to be a face primer, did it? I'm still skeptic on face primers, but I've fully converted to eye primers since the moment I was introduced to the NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base (£19.50). Much loved by Lisa Eldridge, this was the one the changed my idea of primers. As the name says, once applied on top of this primer, no matter how shoddy the eyeshadow is, it'll rise up to the game and take out the suckers. 
Base Product: It's no secret I'm a base fanatic - so it definitely was a gut-clenching moment when I had to make the impossible pick. It was a struggle alright, but the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint (£29) won in the end. I might have crooned at my other base products afterwards to reassure that I still love them. Might. 
Powder: Technically not a setting powder, but yoooo - if the rules aren't clear, they're open to interpretation. The Tarte Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation ($36) is a clear winner here. My go-to base on good-skin days. bad-skin-but-I-don't-really-need-to-look-that-fabulous days, or the I-can't-be-bothered days. Basically, it's a good base for all the days. 
Concealer: This was a tossup between the Bobbi Brown Corrector and the Make Up Forever Full Cover Concealer ($32), but as technically the former wasn't a concealer and could only be used for the under eye area, I went for the more multi-purpose latter. I don't normally use this under the eyes, but if I do, the tiniest amount with a lot of patting it into the skin works wonders for the dark circles. Plus, it's waterproof and lasts forever.  
Blush: This was a hard one, there were three final contestants that were in the bloody battle. But it was Rimmel Santa Rose (£3.99) that rose from the savage in the end. I'm sure that this doesn't need any more introduction as it seems like I can't go for more than two weeks without mentioning this little one. 
Highlighter: I think I only have a couple of proper highlights in my collection so this was one of the easiest categories. But theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer (£16) was one of those products that made me stop the search for another highlighter as this one is just perfection. No seriously, this gives the most beautiful angelic glow that'll even make evil look like it's wearing a halo.   
Eyebrow Product: Definitely the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade (£15). Not only has it been a game changer, I've also converted my mum to this product. 
Bronzer: I gave away all my other bronzers after buying The Body Shop Honey Bronzer (£13). Yup, that's how good this one is.
Makeup Brush: I had to - you couldn't just make me choose one. I hate using fingers to apply my makeup (with the exception of concealer), so makeup brushes are a definite. But despite my rather sizeable brush collection, if it came down to it, the Real Techniques Multi Task Brush and the MAC 217 (£19) would be my 'I'll save you from the fire' picks. I guess I'd also grab my Sephora Classic Multitasker Brush #45 ($24) as well. Just for my beloved Tarte foundation. 
Mascara: I'm throwing my hands up at this one. I just don't know yet. 
Eyeshadow: The Urban Decay Naked Basics (£22) hands down. When it comes down to it, I'm a basic matte girl at heart and this palette will always deliver. 
Eyeliner: I don't think I need to introduce my obsession over the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajals (£3.99), yeah? Particularly Bronze and Nude. 
Lip Gloss: After since my cheap-artificial-strawberry-flavoured-glitter lip gloss days of '99, I've pretty much sworn them off. 
Lipstick: This was hard. I go through some lipstick phases, but two favourites are probably MAC See Sheer and MAC Peach Blossom (£15.50).  Phew! That was a long one. This would probably be as capsule as my makeup collection will get, but we all know that's not happening any time soon. Fingers crossed.  With Love,  Daphne x
