I have a lot more makeup than any sane person should ever have. But you know what they say, you have to kiss a lot of frogs to get a prince (unless he's lost and refuses to ask for directions...but that's another issue). Today, I'm sharing with you the cream of the crop, or if you want to be fancy, the créme de la créme - to save you time and money. 

eyeshadow application

could it be anything other than the infamous MAC 217? The softness of the brush is able to blend out even the brightest shadows, and the fluffiness of the brush makes sure that even when trying to pack on the colour, you won't get too much product on the brush. At £18, this definitely isn't the cheapest brush, but it's one that's worth investing in. If this is a bit out of your price range or you want duplicates and can't justify spending that much, don't worry, I have you covered for an exact dupe at a third of the price here. 

dark under eye circles

I've always had sleeping problems but it wasn't until recent years did I start to get really bad dark undereye circles. I always just applied concealer, but it'd either look dusty and dirty as it was never full coverage enough. That's when I started using the Bobbi Brown Corrector. Using the colour correcting theory, the orange of the product will cancel out the blues and purples that culprit for the tell-tale signs of sleepless nights. A lot of brands are now doing similar products, but after trailing and testing ones from the high end and drugstore, the original Bobbi Brown offering will still be the one I go back to. 

long, fluttery lashes

I never thought eyelash curlers made much of a difference. And then I finally caved to the hype and bought the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers and I kid you not, they do make a difference. The shape of the curlers fit perfectly against my eye, meaning no more yelps of pain when trying to get the pretty lashes. It's not the dreaded straight-angled curl, but the soft curves you see on babies. That topped with the L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara, and you'll get false lash, magazine worthy lashes. No joke, my friend who has stick straight lashes as short as the width of a needle and never before bothered with mascara because it never made a difference is now head over heels for this one as it gives her eyelashes she never knew she had before.
